BBQ Beef Back Ribs

Beef Ribs are so underrated. Make these at your next BBQ.

Mop Sauce Ingredients:

In a medium size pot on medium heat add the butter and once melted add the onions and garlic. Bring to a simmer then add the remaining ingredients. Let the sauce simmer on low until the onions and garlic are soft and translucent. Keep the sauce warm and use to mop the ribs with. (No need to season with salt and pepper since the ribs are plenty seasoned).

Remove the membrane on the back of the ribs and generously season with salt and pepper. While the ribs get to room temp, fire up the smoker to 225-275 degrees Fahrenheit. Smoke the ribs for about 2 hours then begin to mop with the mop sauce every hour or so. Once the ribs get to about 150-170 degrees internally, pull the ribs off the smoker and wrap in butcher paper or aluminum foil. Place back on the smoker until tender. (Somewhere around 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit internally).

Let the ribs rest for 1-2 hours in a dry cooler then slice in between the bones and serve with your favorite BBQ Sides!
