Easy Korean Beef


In a large pan on medium heat add the avocado oil and once the oil starts to shimmer add the ground beef. Press the beef into the pan so it develops a good sear then break up into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.

Once the ground beef is cooked 1/2 way done (you can optionally drain the fat if needed), add the minced garlic, ginger, and shallots. Sauté for 30 seconds or until the garlic is nice and fragrant then add the soy sauce, sugar, rice wine vinegar, sriracha, and gochugaru. Stir the ingredients into the ground beef until evenly combined.

Next add the sesame oil, lime juice, cilantro, and green onion. Continue to cook until the ground beef is done then thicken with the corn starch slurry by adding it a little at a time while continuously stirring. Once the sauce it thick to your liking and coating the ground beef its done.

Serve with white rice on the side and garnish with a lime wedge.
