Homemade Sorbet

Warm weather calls for a homemade sorbet.

Simple Syrup Ingredients:


In a small sauce pan, add the simple syrup ingredients and let simmer for about 20 minutes or until reduced by 1/2 making sure to stir often. Let cool and set aside.

In a blender or food processor add the 1 pound of frozen fruit, 1/2 cup of the simple syrup, and the lemon juice. Blend until smooth or until it resembles soft serve ice cream.

(NOTE: If needed, in-between blending, push the sides down with a rubber spatula and continue blending).

In a glass loaf pan or pyrex dish, add the sorbet and freeze for 2 hours before serving for best results.
