Honey Garlic chicken

Prep it for the week, or whip it up on the spot for a quick dinner.

In a large bowl combine all the chicken marinade ingredients and let marinade for at least 20 minutes or up to a few hours.

In a large wok or pan on high heat add 1-2 tbsp of vegetable oil and the chicken. Sear and cook the chicken then remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok or pan, reduce the heat to medium and the butter. Once the butter is melted add the garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant for 1 minute then add the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, chili oil, and sirracha to the side of the wok so they caramelize slightly. Next add the chicken stock and honey. Bring to a simmer for about 3-5 minutes then thicken with a little of the cornstarch slurry. 

Once the sauce is thickened slightly, add the chicken back along with the green onion. Toss and coat the chicken in the sauce then finish with Shaoxing wine, a little sesame oil, and garnish with sesame seeds.

Serve with steamed broccoli and white rice.
