Paleo Sesame Chicken

Proof that healthy doesn’t mean tasteless.

Serves 4






First in a blender combine all the sauce ingredients and blend until smooth then set aside.

Next cut the chicken thighs into bite size pieces and place in a large bowl. Now add the coconut aminos, garlic powder, sesame oil, egg, salt, and pepper. Give everything a mix until combined then add the arrowroot powder and toss until the chicken is completely covered in the flour.

Now in a medium size pan on medium heat, add a 1/4 inch layer of avocado oil. Once the oil is heated to 350F. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until nice and golden brown and cooked all the way through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain the cooked chicken on a wire rack or paper towels to remove the excess oil and season with a little salt.

Once all the chicken is fried, remove the oil from the pan. Continue on medium heat in the same pan and add the sesame sauce. Let the sauce simmer and reduce slightly until thickened then taste it and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Now add the crispy chicken, green onion, and sesame seeds. Toss until combined and its done!
